Job Title- AWS PySpark Engineer

Role Responsibilities

:
- Analyze and interpret complex data structures using SQL to enhance the performance of payment systems.
- Design and implement scalable applications on AWS ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Develop and optimize Spark jobs for data processing ensuring efficient handling of large datasets.
- Utilize Scala to build robust backend services focusing on scalability and integration capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability by adhering to best practices and performing thorough code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance scalability and reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the Cards & Payments industry to drive innovation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers fostering a culture of learning and growth.
-Qualifications
- Candidate must have a strong foundation in Unix and SQL with proven experience in handling complex queries and system operations.
- Proficiency in AWS services is required with a focus on deploying and managing scalable applications.
- Experience in developing applications using Spark and Scala is essential with a strong emphasis on performance optimization.
- A solid understanding of the Cards & Payments domain is mandatory with the ability to navigate its regulatory and technical landscape.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment are crucial.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal are required to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement is expected with a willingness to explore new technologies and methodologies.
- Show proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until July 14 2024. The annual salary for this position is between $66K - $90K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
