Job Description:
The Arizona Department of Education (AZED) is seeking a Grant Manager to oversee program activities and ensure compliance for the Title I: Direct Student Services (DSS) Grant. This role is onsite and local candidates are required.
You’ll work closely with internal departments, local education agencies (LEAs), and external partners to monitor grant implementation, submit reports, and support the fiscal operations of the DSS grant. Candidates must have a background in education and grant management, with the ability to handle reporting, billing, compliance, and financial assistance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage DSS grant activities and ensure program compliance
- Submit programmatic and financial reports
- Assist with grant billing and financial tracking
- Provide technical assistance and monitor LEAs
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and CFO
- Handle applications, questions, and grant-related data reporting
Required Skills & Experience:
- Grants management experience (preferred)
- Experience working in education, especially with tutoring/coaching grants
- Familiarity with competitive grants and school funding
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Experience with accounting/financial aspects of grant management
- Some college education (preferred)
