Job Description: Azure Systems Engineer
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Azure infrastructure.
As a Remote Azure Systems Engineer, you will primarily focus on Azure support and engineering tasks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other infrastructure-related work as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Azure Support and Engineering:
- Manage and maintain our Azure environment, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize Azure resources.
- Implement best practices for Azure deployments and configurations.
- Active Directory Support and Engineering:
- Administer and maintain our Active Directory infrastructure.
- Handle user accounts, group policies, and security settings.
- Troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues.
- Windows Server Support and Engineering:
- Manage Windows Server instances, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server roles and features.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Azure Expertise:
- Strong experience with Azure services, including VMs, Azure AD, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.
- Familiarity with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and PowerShell scripting.
- Active Directory Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Windows Server Skills:
- Proficient in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- General Infrastructure Knowledge:
- Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, and security protocols.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
