Job Description - B2B Outbound Fulfillment Lead

Location: Selma, TX


Department: Operations


Reports To: Warehouse Director


Job Type: Full-Time, benefits eligible





The B2B Outbound Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the outbound operations of the warehouse, focusing on B2B and Wholesale shipments, Cross-Docking to our partner 3PLs, Amazon orders, and any larger unit count orders. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Leadership and Supervision:

    • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse contractors in Outbound operations.

    • Provide comprehensive onboarding, training, and ongoing development on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to empower team members and enhance their expertise in Outbound Operations.

    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.



  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee the processing of B2B and Wholesale orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment to company Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

    • Manage Amazon shipping operations (FBA, Fulfilled by Amazon), adhering to specific guidelines, requirements, and SLAs for the shipments

    • Coordinate the handling of larger unit count orders and cross-dock shipments, optimizing space and resources.

    • Establish and maintain robust communication channels with internal business units (e.g., Sales, Customer Service, Inventory) to ensure seamless information flow, proactive problem-solving, and alignment on Outbound priorities.



  • Process Improvement:

    • Utilize Six Sigma tools and techniques to identify sources of variation and defects within processes, and implement targeted improvements that lead to significant gains in efficiency and productivity by minimizing waste and errors.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce costs.

    • Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance such as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Units Per Hour (UPH) that drive continuous improvement.



  • Inventory and Quality Control:

    • Implement and oversee inventory control measures to guarantee accurate stock levels essential for seamless outbound order processing.

    • Champion and enforce rigorous quality control measures throughout the outbound process to ensure high standards of order accuracy, proper packaging, and damage-free shipments, directly impacting customer satisfaction.

    • Proactively identify and meticulously analyze outbound shipping discrepancies and issues, taking ownership to promptly implement swift and effective resolutions that minimize disruptions and ensure customer satisfaction.



  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.

    • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to establish and maintain a lean, clean, and highly organized warehouse environment that minimizes waste (e.g., time, movement, defects) and maximizes operational efficiency for outbound shipping.




Qualifications:



  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with a focus on outbound logistics.

    • A strong understanding of the distinct requirements and best practices for B2B/wholesale shipping and Amazon fulfillment processes (FBA) is highly valued.



  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.

    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software (Google Suite, Slack).

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required up to 49 lbs

    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment



  • Shift Schedule

    • Normal Operating Hours 8am-5pm

    • Weekend shifts and extended work hours are required during high volume sale periods (4-5x, annually) to accommodate business demands.
