Back of House (For Pooling)

Our restaurant group, Down the Street Eats is currently building a pool of qualified candidates for Back of House Team— Dishwashers, Line Cooks, and Lead Line Cooks. A pool of applicants means we are collecting applications and interviewing in advance, so when openings become available, we already have a group of qualified candidates ready to be considered. This posting is open to individuals who may not be actively looking for a job right now but would like to be considered for future opportunities with our restaurant group.

As part of our hospitality team, you will provide excellent customer service, ensure smooth operations, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Our full-service locations are in Winter Park and in Granby.

Hourly Wages

• Dishwasher: $14-$16/hr
• Line Cooks: $18-$20/hr
• Lead Line Cooks: $20-$22/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and standards (for Line Cook, Lead Line Cook roles).
• Oversee kitchen operations and staff (for Kitchen Manager role).
• Wash dishes, utensils, and maintain kitchen cleanliness (for Dishwasher role).
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace organization.
• Support smooth kitchen operations and assist team members as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred (required for Lead Line Cook and Kitchen Manager roles).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Reliable, creative, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
