Schedule: Monday -Friday
Scheduled Hours: 8:00am -5:00pm (Minimum of 30 minutes, unpaid meal break, 2 -10
minutes paid breaks must be taken away from workstation. 1 morning break and 1 afternoon break. Breaks cannot be combined with a paid or unpaid break).

Job Summary
This position requires 80% back office with 20% Front office.
The Medical Assistant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a team, where multitasking, attention to detail, organization, and time management are key. The Medical
Assistant supports all back office clinical duties, within the scope as a certified Medical
Assistant. Duties include clear and concise communication with providers in a professional manner. Interacting and communicating with patients responding to all requests in a
professional and timely manner.
The Medical Assistant is expected to prep patient rooms, room patients, sanitize rooms and instruments after each visit, re-stocking exam rooms, lab room, and bathroom, run the
autoclave machine, run monthly spore testing, check for expired cultures, medications, clean US filters, and cleaning the autoclave machine. The Medical Assistant is also responsible for completing prescription refills, prep charts, and follow up on lab results. Additional duties may include MLT coordination, process Natera, breast pump orders, assist with ablations when
applicable. Other duties include organizing the sample closet and following and complying with OSHA compliance guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities
• Prep Patient Rooms: Turn on U/S. TV, exam tables, gel warmers, ensure all rooms are appropriately stocked with speculums /gloves/ supplies
• Room Patients: Take patient's vitals, prepare sterile trays, when applicable injection (TOAP & hogam)
• After each visit, sanitize patient rooms after each patient
• Lab Specimen, complete lab order, and send specimens to the appropriate lab
based on insurance.
Review appointment schedules and prep patient charts for the next day
• Assisting physicians, and providers with exams and procedure as
applicable and appropriate: Ablations
Sanitize instruments, and run the autoclave machine Breast Pump orders
• Check in baskets/voicemails for patient messages
• MA role is expected to room 25+ patients a day or room for more than 1 provider as needed.
• Check rooms at the end of the day (to make sure gowns have been taken out, lights turned off,
ultrasound machines turned off, instruments left out, no urines left in the cubby & specimens have been taken out to the lock box.

• Process orders for CT scans, and ultrasounds
• Referrals: Placing referrals order, process paperwork, and provide patient with instructions
• Follow up on patient lab results
• Patient prescriptions refills
• Medication prior authorization
• Other duties as assigned
Yearly
• Complete all OSHA required training
• Complete all HIPAA required training
Every 2 Years
Complete CA Mandatory Harassment Training
Other Requirements
• Complete all additional assignments
• Work as a team, cross training is expected.
• Assist team members with other duties not listed or assigned.
• Changes in duties and responsibilities are to be expected based on company, department, and business needs.
Requirements
• Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent
• Full understanding of clinical back-office requirements & expectations

Compensation will be based on experience
Pay Scale/Ranges:
$21.00-$39.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
*Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
