Your new role and environment.

The Albert Heijn eCommerce Backoffice cluster is a fast growing and hugely important part of home delivery. With nine DevOps teams we are serving business and consumers with reliable databases, services and apps for all logistics processes ranging from replenishment to order picking, forecasting, warehouse management and delivery.

We are looking for someone who can create and maintain Oracle PL/SQL functionality and stored procedures/queries. In the future we will transition towards a services oriented architecture with Kotlin services. There are opportunities to develop towards a more hybrid Oracle/Kotlin role. This also fits the DevOps aspect of the team where we value “T-shaping” and having several expertises next to the core expertise of our employees

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements:

• You have at least 6 years of relevant work experience with PL/SQL in large databases


• Familiar with Oracle Forms (11g)


• Knowledge of SQL*Plus, TOAD and/or SQL Developer


• Knowledge of Git/Github is a plus


• Java/Kotlin experience is an advantage


• Kafka experience is a plus


• Demonstrable Scrum experience


• Knowledge of SHELL scripting, Linux and the Oracle translation hub is a bonus


• Retail and logistics process knowledge is a bonus as well


• Team player and proactive


• We work in DevOps teams and are also responsible for Operation 24/7 - It is necessary to participate in a Standby schedule.


• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
