Job Summary
We are seeking a Baker to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare a variety of cookies and pastries. You will be responsible for opening the bakery in the morning and prepping for the day ahead. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious cookies and pastries. If you are creative, hardworking, and want to share your tasty creations with customers, we’d like to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open the bakery and prepare for the day ahead
- Clean and sanitize equipment and baking areas
- stay updated on current baking trends to incorporate into new creations
- adjust recipes for large-scale production while maintaining consistency in flavor and appearance
- Bake a variety of cookies, brownies, and pastries
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Prepare custom orders
- work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations during product launches
- Track, maintain, and order inventory as necessary
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
- strong understanding of various baking techniques and ingredients
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Familiarity with gluten-free, vegan or other specialty baking styles
- Previous experience in product development
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Team player
- Available for early morning shifts
Immediate raises are based on work performance. $18.00 is our probation period trial amount.
