Onsite office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with an on-call component.
The Banking Specialist plays a key role in managing Mercer’s daily banking and cash-related operations. This position ensures accuracy, accountability, and integrity across all financial transactions, while supporting internal controls and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external banking partners.

Support the daily administration of all company bank accounts
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or irregularities
Track checks from issuance through clearance, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
Report and escalate suspected fraudulent or unauthorized activity
Maintain and support internal controls related to banking processes
Manage electronic card issuance, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Assist contractors and brokers with electronic card issues, including limited after-hours support
Maintain petty cash, including disbursements and receipt tracking
Process and reconcile credit card transactions
Code, enter, and deposit checks in NetSuite and appropriate bank accounts
Provide general administrative support including filing, mail distribution, and phone coverage
What We’re Looking For
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues proactively
Working knowledge of banking processes, reconciliations, and internal controls
Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Customer service mindset when supporting internal teams and contractors
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
