Responsibilities:
- Oversees and coordinates all banquet events to ensure smooth execution from setup to breakdown.
- Supervises banquet servers, bartenders, and support staff during events.
- Attend all BEO meetings as scheduled
- Train all banquet staff as required
- Maintain accurate inventory of all banquet equipment that is needed
- Coordinate with Banquet Manager in ordering/purchase of any equipment needed
- Maintain and coordinate order of all linens needed for banquets
- Know and train Banquet Captains in use and set up of in-house AV equipment
- Meet and greet group contacts as needed
- Monitor and manage bar inventories for banquets – both equipment and liquor
- Insure that a Captain’s report is received for each event
- Develop written procedures for all areas of banquet staff
- Communicate on a regular basis with Restaurant Managers regarding event impact on outlets
- Quality control all events prior to event
- Track any improvements that are needed to improve operation
- Insure all spandex laundry is done and clean as needed
- Complete Banquet posting sheet and distribute at the end of each day / coordinate completion when off schedule
- Work with Chef and Banquet Captains to have creative and unique ways to display our food.
Qualifications:
- Hospitality degree or Four-year college degree preferred however not required
- A minimum of two years’ experience required in a related position with this company or other organization(s)
- Requires thorough knowledge of the practices and procedures of the rooms, catering, food & beverage and hospitality professions.
