Vesta Hospitality is looking for a Part-Time On-Call Banquet Captain to join our team!

As a Banquet Captain, you’ll help lead the execution of weddings, meetings, celebrations, and other special events while ensuring our guests receive exceptional service from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

• 
  

  Lead and direct banquet staff during events to ensure smooth and efficient service.

  
  


• 
  

  Set up and break down banquet rooms, tables, chairs, linens, and service areas.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure food and beverage service follows event specifications and established standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Act as a point of contact for guests and event organizers during assigned events.

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate effectively with the Banquet Manager and other hotel departments.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor timing, presentation, cleanliness, and overall guest experience throughout the event.

  
  


• 
  

  Coach and support banquet team members to maintain high service standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Respond professionally and promptly to guest needs and requests.

  
  


• 
  

  Help resolve service issues and escalate concerns appropriately.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow all hotel, safety, sanitation, and service standards.

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  

  Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and organizational skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable directing and supporting a team.

  
  


• 
  

  Guest-focused attitude with a genuine desire to provide exceptional service.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout events for extended periods.

  Must be dependable and available to work on an as-needed basis.
