Job Description - Banquet Chef

Description

 At The Landmark Resort, we believe that memorable events start in the kitchen—with flavors that impress, timing that delivers, and leadership that keeps things smooth behind the scenes. We’re looking for a Banquet Chef who can do more than cook; we want someone who can lead a team, maintain consistency, and execute high-volume service with pride and precision.

From weddings and conferences to banquets and seasonal events, you’ll be at the helm of our banquet culinary operation—making sure every dish reflects our high standards and enhances the guest experience.

What you'll Do

  • Leading all aspects of banquet kitchen operations, from prep to execution
  • Creating and maintaining prep lists, production schedules, and service timelines
  • Ensuring consistency and quality in food presentation and portion control
  • Managing banquet kitchen staff—including scheduling, training, and performance
  • Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and Events Team to ensure seamless execution of all catered functions
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health regulations and safety standards
  • Monitoring food and labor costs to ensure efficiency and minimize waste
  • Assisting with menu development and seasonal offerings

What We're Looking For

  • A culinary professional with 3+ years of banquet or high-volume kitchen experience
  • Someone with proven leadership skills—able to lead a team with calm, clarity, and accountability
  • A chef who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and sanitation practices
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to read and execute BEOs with confidence and attention to timing
  • Flexible and adaptable—ready to problem-solve when things don’t go as planned
  • Someone with a genuine passion for hospitality and culinary excellence
