Banquet Chef

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional to lead our banquet and other kitchens to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary skills. As the Banquet Chef, you will oversee the daily operations of one of our banquet food preparation ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Banquet Chef should also have experience in buffet designs and setups, food stations, hors d'oeuvres, cookouts, and similar banquet events.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff.
• Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely meal service
• Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.

• Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen setting
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and culinary techniques.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
• A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
