The Study at University City is seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. As a Banquet Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items for banquet events according to established recipes and standards. You will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and within specified time frames.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquet events, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to established recipes and standards.
• Coordinate with the banquet team to ensure timely delivery of food items to event venues.
• Assist in the preparation of mise en place and organization of workstations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and special event menus.

• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a banquet or catering environment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
