Position Summary The Banquet Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the banquet department, ensuring exceptional event execution, outstanding guest service, and effective coordination between Sales, Food & Beverage, and Event teams. This hands-on leadership role focuses on team development, operational excellence, and delivering memorable event experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all day-to-day banquet operations, including event execution, staffing, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with Sales and Restaurant leadership to ensure seamless event planning, communication, and execution.
Coordinate staffing and scheduling for banquet servers, bartenders, captains, and event coverage while maintaining labor efficiency.
Develop and train banquet captains and supervisors to independently manage events, administrative duties, and room set-up operations.
Ensure proper staffing coverage and operational continuity in the manager’s absence.
Partner with Sales on high-profile and unique events that enhance the hotel's reputation and market competitiveness.
Monitor service quality, guest feedback, and event outcomes, implementing improvements to elevate the guest experience.
Maintain high standards of professionalism, service, and event presentation while fostering a positive and engaged team culture.
Qualifications
Previous banquet, event, or hospitality management experience required.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple events and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience developing teams and driving service excellence.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
