Examples of Banquet Server responsibilities

• Make all guests feel welcome


• Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall


• Assist with Ballroom set up before the event begins


• Set up buffets and coffee stations with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance


• Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs


• Refill water glasses


• Clean up venue after event ends other closing tasks

Examples of Banquet Server skills

• High school diploma/GED preferred


• Minimum 16 years of age


• Previous wait-staff experience a plus


• Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment


• Overall excellent customer service


• Punctual


• Energetic, motivated personality


• Must be able to stand/walk for several hours at a time


• Must have reliable transportation
