Job Description - Bar Louie GM



We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar & Lounge Manager to lead our vibrant bar and lounge operations. In this role, you will oversee daily service, manage staff, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality. Your leadership will drive a lively atmosphere that encourages teamwork, promotes safety, and maximizes profitability. Responsibilities



  • Lead and supervise all bar and lounge staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to deliver outstanding service.

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth shift management, efficient food and beverage service, and adherence to safety standards.

  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food handling and storage practices.

  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the bar and lounge areas.

  • Develop staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and implement training programs focused on customer service excellence and food preparation skills.

  • Coordinate with kitchen management for food production, catering events, banquets, or special functions to deliver seamless guest experiences.

  • Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue opportunities through promotional initiatives.

  • Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality management best practices, and high-quality customer service.


Qualifications



  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with a focus on bar or lounge operations.

  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in staff training, team management, and interviewing candidates.

  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and food safety standards.

  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and sales reporting.

  • Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, and food management within a fast-paced setting.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

  • Ability to handle shift management responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

  • Previous casual dining or hotel experience is highly desirable; culinary experience or barista background is a plus.
