Job Description - Bar Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic and personable bar manager that will oversee bar staff, bar operations and ensure inventory is well stocked.

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling, training, development and oversight of all bar staff

• Maintaining product quality standards

• Observing and enforcing company standard operating procedures

• Addressing bar staff concerns and stressful situations with urgency, dignity & tact

• Ensuring that all bar staff are courteous to customers

• Ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed

• Order beer, wine and liquor

• Assisting the GM with beer selections and cocktail meus.

Qualifications:

• 1 + year in full-service, high-volume restaurant management.

• 1 + year of bartending experience

• Proven success leading, coaching and developing a team.

• Ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment.

• High energy, positive attitude, and a team player!

• Working knowledge of restaurant operating procedures including P&L management, ordering, receiving, schedules, etc.

• Sports and Beer enthusiasts preferred

This is the Shaw neighborhood’s coolest little bar with smoked wings, huge beer selection and a place where everybody knows your name.

Quincy Hall

Ballston’s neighborhood hangout has pizza and a huge beer list. Our giant patio is packed when the sun shines and neighbors watch all the games on our many screens.

Astro Beer Hall

Downtown DC’s gigantic game-room. We are the place for local happy hours and host dozens of parties every week.
