Tired Hands Brewing Company is looking for someone to join our team as a Bar Manager at our Fishtown location St. Oner's!

The St. Oner’s Bar Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of St. Oners and its employees. The Bar Manager reports to the COO, bringing fresh energy, new ideas, as well as promoting a unique and fulfilling experience for both our guests and employees. We require a committed, responsible and passionate individual to support our front of house staff and exceed guests’ expectations.

Job Duties:

Management

  • Oversee day to day operations of and support all employees at St. Oners
  • Ensure that a positive and productive work environment is maintained for all employees
  • Supervise, lead, and develop staff to ensure a positive and productive work environment for all employees
  • Meet with the COO on a consistent basis and maintain communication with peers in other locations.
  • Develop staff training procedures to establish proper business practices
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding processes as needed
  • Manage menu items and prices on the POS
  • Enforce company policies, safety regulations and procedures and model compliance with company policies
  • Complete paperwork and participate in administrative procedures as needed
  • Draft written reminders or recommend disciplinary action/termination for violations of company policy with the assistance of F&B Director or HR
  • Help identify employees for upward mobility
  • Have a keen eye on the details in regards to both details and culture
  • Manage attendance and ensure proper procedures for lateness/calling out/PTO

Service

  • Provide superior customer service and model ideal customer interactions and teamwork for front of house staff
  • Manage the service space, monitoring for cleanliness, safety, timeliness and quality of service and experience
  • Implement proper cleaning procedures
  • Regularly meet with the COO to discuss deficiencies and strengths of service, areas for reinforcement and areas for improvement
  • Assist in curating events such as Anniversaries, Biergarten openings, pop ups, etc.
  • Oversee the cocktail program ensuring fresh rotating seasonal favorites

Marketing and Business Development

  • Develop a strategy for community based marketing & social media presence

Ordering/Inventory

  • Order proper amount of kegs, bottles, cans and miscellaneous supplies weekly from Logistics Team
  • Complete regular inventory of, and order items such as glassware, plates, silverware, and paper goods
  • Complete regular inventory of candle
  • Complete regular inventory and order additional miscellaneous items such as votive holders, poly liner, etc.

Accounting

  • Record daily deposits and ensure that they are submitted on time and accurately
  • Make cash requests through F&B Director as necessary
  • Complete routine counts of all spare cash on hand to ensure the bank is accurate

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates and superiors, remotely when required
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to lift up to 40+ pounds.
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment in difficult situations
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
  • Ability to comply with and enforce company policies, including nondiscrimination
  • Ability to work calmly and productively in a fast and loud environment
  • Ability to get along with others consistently
  • Willingness to be a team player and jump in when others need help

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a tipped full-time hourly non-exempt position. The expectation for this role is a committed person who will be on location for 36+ hours a week.
