The beverage experience will include a variety of hand-muddled cocktails, a collection of Latin wines, and a variety of tequila and agave spirits.

Your Role: Cultivating Food & Beverage Excellence

Exceptional service and cuisine are hallmarks of the Toro Chicago, by Richard Sandoval, dining experience. As a bar porter, you will take pride in the integral role you play in supporting your Food & Beverage Colleagues and “setting the stage” for a truly memorable dining experience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Assist beverage team in preparation, maintaining and restocking bar area and equipment
• Control the beverage stock as per guidelines
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions specifically sugar cane spirits
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow brand policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage 
• Follow hotel time and attendance policy
• Follow grooming and attire guidelines
• Must be available to work flexible shifts including AM, PM, evenings and weekends, and holidays
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation: $25.90 per Hour

Qualifications

• Previous bar porter experience
• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Excellent knowledge of all beverage products
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to speak, read and write in English

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
