Barback
Barbacks are responsible for assisting bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to serve guests efficiently. Duties include replacing kegs, syrups, and other beverage ingredients; restocking glasses, paper goods, and other supplies needed to make drinks; and maintaining a clean space throughout their shift. Barbacks prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, and clean up spills and broken glassware. The barback needs to communicate with bartenders and guests with a positive attitude. Barbacks must also report problems or issues to a supervisor as observed.
Wages
- Hourly Wage: $8.00 per hour
- Eligible for Tips: Yes
- Bonus: Barbacks are eligible for a work performance-based bonus of up to $0.50 for every hour worked during the Season through Sunday, October 11; must work a minimum of 200 hours in total. The associate must work until the date of commitment agreed to at the interview.
Essential Functions
- Assist the bartenders in preparing and serving drinks, including restocking supplies, preparing garnishes and mixers, and handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Keep the bar area clean and organized, including washing glasses and restocking ice.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking usage.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand/walk/bend for up to 12 hours at a time.
- Must be able to perform physical work, including crawling, pushing, bending, and stooping.
- Must be able to work in varying conditions (cold/high temperatures, direct sunlight, or humidity).
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
