Job Description - Barista
Under general supervision of the Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will perform a variety of duties. This includes:
Preparing hot and cold beverages to serve
Serving packaged and prepared foods
Compiling routine food orders,
Receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning, and sanitation
Operation of computerized POS for transactions.

Job Responsibilities:
Serve hot coffee and tea beverages
Use and operate all appropriate equipment.
React politely and quickly to requests, queries, issues, and grievances.
Accept cash and credit card transactions correctly, following proper funds practices.
Display a deep knowledge of all menu options.
Follow all applicable health and safety rules.
Supports Starbucks' culture, values, and goals.
Capable of working under duress while maintaining a calm disposition.
Keeps the business in good order and predicts the demands of the customers.
Clean, organize, and stock supplies and facility.

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:
Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect customers and self.
Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
Complies with established organization and department policies.
Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education and Experience:
The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
is preferred.
Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. Previous customer service experience in a food service environment is also preferred, but not required.
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to learn quickly.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to build relationships.
Requires the physical abilities and stamina (i.e., ability to stoop, reach and lift equipment and supplies; remain on feet for long periods of time) to perform the essential functions of the position.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to noise, moisture, and heat in the food service area.
