The Picnic Basket is a cafe that sources food from local farmers, foragers, and food artisans. We serve delicious salads, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, Verve coffee drinks, Penny Ice Creamery ice cream and more! Locally sourced food, sustainability and community are values that we are lucky enough to live out at work every day.

As a Barista you would be creating a fun experience for our guests by making tea and coffee drinks, offering them tastes of delicious ice cream, and of course bringing food to their tables! As a Sandwich Maker you will learn how to make all of our breakfast and lunch items including seasonal salads and sandwiches.

The Glass Jar which includes The Penny Ice Creamery and The Picnic Basket, was founded in Santa Cruz, CA in 2010 with a focus on made from scratch deliciousness, locally sourced ingredients and community.

Requirements

Requirements Include:

• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  

• Ability to effectively communicate.

• Ability to work alone/ unsupervised.
  

• Must have availability during the week, weekends and holidays on a reliable basis.
  

• Must be available to work 20 hours a week on a reliable basis.
  

• Preference will be given to individuals with experience in food service, although we will train the right person
