Description

Saucon Valley Country Club is one of the largest and most distinguished private golf clubs in North America. We have 60 holes of golf amongst other sports and activities. As membership steadily increases, the Club has upheld its cherished traditions while continuously looking for opportunities for growth and innovation.

Part of this growth included the opening of a new cocktail lounge in 2023, called the Saucon Lounge which is located in the Main Clubhouse. This lounge is like no other venue in the area with a modern state of the art cocktail station and stunning panoramic views of the Old Course. 

It is here, that a great opportunity awaits for bartenders who are eager to learn a large repertoire of classic and modern classic cocktails along with learning modern techniques to develop syrups, infusions, garnishes and more! Our bar is equipped with state-of-the-art tools including cryovak machines, isi whippers, sous vide, dehydrators and other techniques such as spherification and foams. As our bar program evolves, there's ample opportunity for creativity and menu input.

Most importantly, the ideal candidate has the wherewithal to graciously take care of members and their guests in an outwardly hospitable manner. Experience is important but being a seasoned bartender is not essential. Primarily, you should be familiar with well-known cocktails and the base spirits that typically make up these cocktails, some specific techniques and general regions that spirits come from. Willingness to learn and take direction are also very important. You will have plenty of tools and knowledge at your disposal to progress to a high level of proficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Completion of mixology, barkeeping or other related training preferred

One year of relevant experience

Must have excellent customer service skills and be fluent in oral and written English

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations

Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and be responsive

Physical ability to stand for long periods of time

Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand and lift at least 15 pounds  

Able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
