Bartender

We are hiring a Bartender who brings both professionalism and flair for a trendy, fast-paced hotel located in the heart of Washington, D.C., just steps away from vibrant nightlife, museums, and major transits. As a Bartender, you'll be crafting signature drinks, maintaining a lively and welcoming environment, and helping create memorable guest experiences. This is the ideal role for someone who thrives in a social setting and has a passion for mixology. 

Salary: $15.00/hr + Tips - Weekly Pay

Bartender Responsibilities:

• Engage with guests, providing friendly and attentive service, and making recommendations based on their preferences. 


• Provide outstanding customer service with a fun, approachable vibe. 


• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and sanitizing equipment.


• Follow all health and safety regulations while keeping the bar upbeat and professional.


• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to hotel standards and guest preferences. 


• Ensure compliance with all local and state liquor laws and regulations.


• Manage cash and credit transactions accurately, following proper procedure for handling payments. 


• Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the bar manager.


• Provide support during hotel events and functions, ensuring seamless bar service. 
  

Bartender Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a high volume or upscale setting preferred.


• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally permitted to serve alcohol.


• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine.


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Knowledge of local and state liquor laws and regulations. 
  


• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor.


• TIPS or ServSafe certification preferred. 


• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.


• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.


• Professional appearance and positive attitude.


• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
