THE ROLE

Chetola Resort is seeking a charismatic and dependable Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who takes pride in crafting quality beverages, providing engaging guest service, and contributing to a vibrant atmosphere at Timberlake’s Restaurant or our event venues. Whether serving a handcrafted cocktail or sharing a local recommendation, the Bartender plays an important role in enhancing the guest experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Guest Service & Beverage Preparation

• Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, attentive service at the bar
• Craft cocktails and serve wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and full stock of the bar throughout the shift
• Ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience through engaging conversation and hospitality

Operational Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system to accurately process orders and handle cash and credit transactions
• Verify guest identification and monitor responsible alcohol service in accordance with ABC laws
• Assist with opening and closing duties including inventory, setup, restocking, and cleanup
• Support food and beverage service during special events and private functions as needed

Team Collaboration & Safety

• Communicate effectively with the restaurant and event team to ensure smooth service flow
• Follow sanitation, safety, and hygiene guidelines at all times
• Report any incidents, equipment issues, or guest concerns to management promptly

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience as a bartender in a restaurant, resort, or event setting strongly preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass ABC alcohol service requirements
• Familiarity with classic cocktails, wine, beer, and bar equipment
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
