About the Position 

The Bartender expertly crafts cocktails, recommends fine wines, and delivers service that sets the bar in an upscale Jackson Hole establishment. Operating within the Rusty Parrot Lodge restaurant, den, decks, and other public service areas, you work alongside a team of servers to provide an unparalleled drinking and dining experience. Collaboration with other departments is key to ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction throughout their visit.

As a Bartender in the iconic Rusty Parrot Lodge, you play a pivotal role in crafting exquisite cocktails and selecting fine wines that complement the culinary offerings of the world-class Wild Sage Restaurant. Your warmth, creativity and genuine enthusiasm for mixology add an extra layer of charm to the lodge's vibrant ambiance. You thrive in curating memorable experiences for guests and locals alike through your expert mixology skills and attentive service. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for elevating the guest experience, you create an inviting atmosphere where patrons can unwind and indulge in the artistry of cocktail culture. You contribute to a positive team environment and cross collaborate for unique in-house events and experiences.  

Core Responsibilities 

• Craft and serve a variety of fine wines and high-quality cocktails and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards 


• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and offering recommendations for beverages in the bar, additional hotel amenities, and unique experiences in the valley 


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area - stocking supplies and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations 


• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of orders 


• Uphold the ambiance and atmosphere of the establishment by adhering to brand standards and enhancing the guest experience 


• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory 


• Continuously strive to enhance product knowledge and refine mixology skills to meet evolving trends and guest preferences


• Address guest inquiries, concerns and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction 


• Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and assisting as needed 


• Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and securing the bar area at the end of the shift 

Requirements 

• Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end or upscale environment 


• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and beer 


• Exceptional customer service and communication skills 


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail 


• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 


• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management. 


• Familiarity with health and safety regulations 


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required 


• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor 


• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) required
