Where you will work - Gruene Hall

A one-of-a-kind, true Texas experience, Gruene Hall is the oldest continually operating dance hall in the Lone Star State, built in 1878. For well over a century, it has stood as an iconic landmark in Texas music history, hosting everyone from up-and-coming artists to legendary performers. With its open-air layout, wooden floors, and timeless charm, Gruene Hall offers guests an atmosphere that’s both authentic and unforgettable. From intimate shows to packed concerts, it’s the quintessential Texas spot to enjoy live music, cold drinks, and good company. What you will do

• Prepare and serve drinks quickly, accurately, and responsibly
• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all guests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area 
• Monitor alcohol consumption and following responsible serving practices
• Handle cash and transactions accurately
• Restock beer, wine and supplies as needed
• Work with barbacks and teammates to ensure smooth operations during peak times

What you bring - minimum qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older 
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid and current TABC and Food Handlers certification
• Must be able to work at least 3 days a week, including weekends and holidays

Physical requirements and working conditions

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and over 50 lbs. with assistance
• Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, and walking
• Exposure to loud noise, large crowds, and extreme hot/cold temperatures
