Position Overview

Chicago Marriott Northwest is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Bartender to join our team at Bar Louie. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences, and has experience working in a full-service restaurant, hotel, or upscale bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

  Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.

  Deliver exceptional guest service in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner.

  
  


• 
  

  Recommend beverages and food pairings while promoting menu specials.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.

  
  


• 
  

  Process cash and credit card transactions accurately using the POS system.

  
  


• 
  

  Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service regulations.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with inventory control, stocking, and bar setup/closing procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Work closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  1–2 years of bartending experience (hotel or full-service restaurant preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Basic POS and cash-handling experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

  
  


• 
  

  Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
