This position is for a new club opening in the New Bedford/Fall River area. The a provocative theme based on BDSM designed to atract a high level of clientelle. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Manager and Assistant Manager, the
Bartender is responsible for operation and cleanliness of the bar and bar area.

QUALIFICATONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Minimum of one (1) or two (2) years experience as a bartender, or equivalent
combination of education, experience and training
• BASSETT or TIPS certification
• Good understanding of bar operations
• Strong knowledge of drink recipes and bartending
• Good understanding of state and local liquor laws
• Ability to maintain cash controls
• Ability to change soda tapper
• Work early and late shifts, weekends and holidays as assigned
• Operate calculator, cash register and miscellaneous small office equipment
efficiently
• Ability to respond to inquires and requests received from the general public
• Capacity to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external
customers
• Be confortable wearing provocable clothing to the purpose of marketing the general theme of the club
• Experience modelling
• Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions

• Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other
employees and the general public
• Ability to work with general direction from immediate supervisor
• Capacity to work and maintain composure in periods of high activity and in
emergency situations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Sets up the bar area and stocks needed bar supplies
• Slices and pits fruits for use in drinks
• Replenishes bar snack items, such as pretzels, chips, etc
• Mixes a variety of items to prepare correct drink recipes and pours wine, beer
pop, and other non-mixed beverages in accordance with standard drink recipes
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, polices and
procedures
• Collect payments for beverage orders
• Operate cash register efficiently
• Balance and finalize register sales with revenue
• Cleans and refreshes bar area, tables, chairs, etc
• Provide courteous and attentive service to customers
• Assist in inventory control
• Ensure that state and local laws are observed
• Memorize and follow liquor recipes
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment
• Follow and observe sanitation codes
• Performs the job safely and in compliance with District policies, procedures, work
and safety rules, and the employee handbook

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
• Assists with banquet duties, as needed
• Orders, receives and stocks bar products, and maintains accurate records of
products and bar sales
• Attend pertinent departmental meetings and in-house training sessions
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Must be in condition adequate to conduct on site inspection of park district
facilities and operations
• Must be able to perform manual labor with varying degrees of physical exertion
