We are seeking an experienced, energetic General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and growth of a premier baseball and sports performance facility in the New Orleans area.
This position is ideal for someone who understands the baseball and sports performance industry, is comfortable managing people and operations, and has the drive to grow memberships, programs, training services, and overall facility revenue.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day facility operations
- Manage coaches, trainers, instructors, and front-desk staff
- Recruit, hire, schedule, and develop employees
- Drive membership growth and retention
- Develop and manage baseball, softball, pitching, hitting, strength, and sports performance programs
- Maintain a high-level customer experience for athletes and families
- Manage facility scheduling, rentals, camps, clinics, lessons, and memberships
- Develop relationships with local high schools, travel organizations, coaches, trainers, and athletic programs
- Oversee marketing initiatives, social media, events, and community outreach
- Monitor revenue, expenses, payroll, and operating performance
- Establish operating procedures and hold staff accountable to performance standards
- Maintain a clean, professional, high-energy training environment
- Work directly with ownership on growth opportunities and long-term strategy
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in baseball, sports performance, fitness, or athletic facility management
- A strong leader who can manage both coaches and business operations
- Sales-minded and comfortable growing memberships and programs
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple areas of the business
- Comfortable working with high school, college, and advanced athletes
- Strong with parents, athletes, coaches, and community relationships
- Self-motivated and capable of operating with limited day-to-day supervision
- Passionate about building a high-level sports performance culture
Previous experience managing a baseball academy, sports performance facility, fitness facility, or similar athletic business is strongly preferred.
Compensation
Starting Salary: $80,000 annually
Benefits package included.
Additional performance-based compensation opportunities may be available based on membership growth, revenue, and overall facility performance.
