Job Description - BCBA


The BCBA will provide behavior services and therapy for youth at the children’s group homes. Agree to abide by Little Friends Inc.’s Policies and Procedures. The BCBA will supervise RBTs as assigned.  

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in using various Applied Behavior Analysis methods in multiple setting. This experience includes skill acquisition, conducting assessments, behavior management, adaptive skill building, and functional assessment and analysis. 
  • Excellent consultation skills with other professionals and families.

Salary:  $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Requirements

  • Work with agency staff in assigned programs to identify youth’s needs and provide programming for youths and consultation and training for staff. Attend scheduled youth and staff meetings, including IEPs as requested.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans for youths served in the children’s group homes as appropriate. Provide ongoing revisions, training, follow-ups and consultative support as needed thereafter. 
  • Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements on all matters regarding the business conducted at Little Friends Inc. 
  • Consult with staff regularly regarding behavior-related services, techniques, data collection, and updates. 
  • Train and supervise RBTs in the department to ensure RBTs maintain their certification. 
  • Attend and participate in Behavior Supports Committee meetings and Human Rights Committee meeting to present cases and programs for review as needed. 
  • Attend professional development opportunities and conferences to remain current with research and issues related to the fields of applied behavior analysis and positive behavior support. 
  • Consult with other agency BCBAs and the Director of Clinical Services as appropriate. 
  • Observe and manage the behavior of youths according to approved procedures.
  • Collect data on youths and conduct data analysis, to report in each youth’s program reviews. 
  • Maintain and assemble behavior-related instructional materials (such as social narratives, coping strategies, visuals) as needed for the implementation of behavior plans. 
  • Provide training and modeling for staff including general behavior management techniques, proactive strategies, positive behavior supports, and procedures during crisis situations according to each youths' behavior plan.
  • Respond to crisis situations related to youth behavior and assist within the policies of that program. 
  • Supervise practicum students working toward their BCBA certification when appropriate as assigned.
  • Submit all paperwork and billing reports on time. Adhere to all 56-U billing rules and regulations. Keep billing notes and documentation for each service provided and billed. 
  • Provide pre-determined number of billable hours per week/month as laid out by Director of Children’s Residential Services.
