• No prior automotive industry experience is required to apply! We are seeking individuals with various industry backgrounds.
• Previous call center experience preferred

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused BDC Agent to join our automotive dealership's Business Development Center. The BDC Agent is responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, emails, and online inquiries with the goal of setting appointments, generating leads, and supporting the sales and service departments. This role is essential in driving dealership traffic and enhancing the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, and texts in a professional and timely manner.
• Respond to online leads from the dealership website, third-party listings, and social media platforms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments for the sales and/or service departments.
• Follow up with customers who visited or inquired but did not purchase.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions using CRM tools.
• Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with potential buyers.
• Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure a smooth hand-off of appointments.
• Meet or exceed monthly goals for appointments, lead conversions, and customer follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in customer service, call centers, or sales is a plus.
• Automotive dealership, BDC, or call center experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Comfortable with CRM systems and general computer applications.
• Professional, positive, and energetic attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: Primarily office-based, involving prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Computer Use: Frequent use of a computer for handling calls, entering data, and managing customer information.
• Visual Acuity: Must be able to read and interpret information on computer screens and printed materials.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• Mobility: Occasional walking, standing, and reaching within the office environment.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Hearing: Good hearing ability to effectively listen to and understand customer inquiries over the phone.
• Physical Effort: The job may occasionally require lifting items up to 25 lbs.
