Job Description - BDR for a growing Series A agentic AI software startup


Stack AI is a rapidly evolving Series A startup with an end-to-end platform for deploying AI agents. It is designed for IT and enterprise architecture teams. While most of the team is based in NYC, there is some flexibility for senior members to work from anywhere in the U.S.

Stack AI offers a no-code, drag-and-drop tool that allows you to quickly design, test, and deploy AI workflows leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, for automating any business process. Their core value is making it extremely easy to build complex AI pipelines using a visual interface that allows users to connect different data sources with different AI models.

 

About the Role

The company is looking for a dynamic business development representative to spearhead its growth as a startup. This pivotal role involves leading prospecting and outreach efforts. As one of their first non-engineering hires, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our growth strategy.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Prospecting: - Identify and engage potential clients through strategic outreach initiatives (e.g., LinkedIn, cold calling, events, conferences, etc.).
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture connections with key decision-makers, including executives, directors, and procurement teams.
  • Content Creation: Develop engaging content, such as case studies that showcase customer success, product tour videos, tutorials, and targeted email campaigns, to effectively communicate the benefits of our AI solutions.


About You:

  • Experience: You have at least three years of experience in business development or sales roles, ideally within the B2B SaaS or AI technology sectors. You have a proven track record of successfully prospecting and closing deals with large enterprises, as well as managing complex sales cycles.
  • Technical Proficiency: You are comfortable with the technical aspects of generative AI and can translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Creative and Proactive: You are a self-starter with a talent for innovative problem solving and project management. You can juggle multiple initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Networking Prowess: You have a strong network of contacts within Fortune 500 companies and can build new relationships quickly.
