Beer Driver & Driver Assistant - Local

Blue Ribbon Products Co., is an 85 year old family owned and operated beer distributorship located in Joliet, IL. We are seeking hard working individuals that live near our community with a commute time of less than 30 minutes. This is a local delivery position that will have you home everyday and without weekend work. Compensation varies from an estimated $60k to $95k annually.

The Beer Route Delivery Driver and Driver Assistant position generally leads to full-time Union employment. A current CDL Class A License is required. Candidates with permit may be considered. Delivery Personnel are assigned to established local delivery routes in southern and western counties surrounding Cook County, IL. You will be required to handle warehouse and delivery tasks to retail customers.

Responsibilities

• Retail deliveries that require physically demanding work loading and unloading on a repetitive basis kegs weighing up to 180lbs and and cases of beer weighing 35lbs or more. Heavy handcart work will be required to deliver products to our customers.
• Build strong relationships with customers by delivering products in a timely and efficient manner, building displays, filling customer shelves and rotating product as necessary to ensure freshness
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, load sheets and checks
• Daily inspection of truck, keep vehicle clean and advise management of any service issues
• Assist with loading and unloading truck at the warehouse

Requirements

• A current CDL Class A License is required. 
• Prior professional driving experience and a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills and prior experience working with the public
• Ability to lift 165 pounds regularly
• High School degree or GED is a plus
