Job Description - Behavioal health Specialist

Talent Consultants is seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavioral Health Specialist to join our clients' dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing support and care to individuals facing mental health challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to assist clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to provide individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate integrated care.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation groups to promote mental wellness and support skills development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with agency policies.
  • Participate in staff training and development programs to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health or mental health setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with patient assessments and treatment plan development.
  • Proficient in data collection, documentation, and utilization of electronic health record systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards in mental health practice.
