Family Medicine Clinic is seeking a full-time Behavior Health Assistant to provide support to two behavior health providers. The ideal candidate is an empathetic individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills in order to meet patient needs and contribute to a positive care experience. Essential qualifications include the ability to offer supportive listening and help patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns, the ability to work well in a busy environment while maintaining a calm, caring, and professional attitude, and the ability to work independently.
Duties and responsibilities include maintaining schedules for two behavior health providers, answering, responding, and following-up with patient phone calls, following providers' orders in the treatment of patients, performing patient intakes including vitals, mental health history, symptoms, and concerns. Duties may include collecting urine samples, performing lab draws, administering injections, and coordinating referrals to specialists, social workers, or community resources as needed.
