Position Overview:

As a Behavior Clinician, you will provide behavioral support services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will work closely with individuals, their teams, and their families to develop and implement effective behavior support plans. Your responsibilities will include:

• Instructing direct support staff on the implementation of behavior support plans in accordance with KCARC policies, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensuring all professional services promote optimal growth for individuals served, are person-centered, and preserve each individual’s dignity and self-worth.
• Acting independently and making decisions without supervision or prior approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, plan, monitor, and implement behavioral services for assigned waiver individuals in Residential Services, Adult Day Services, and Manufacturing Services.
• Maintain a minimum caseload for Behavior Management Services.
• Meet budgetary and clinical objectives for all services.

Qualifications:

• Experience in behavioral support services.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision.
• Strong communication and instructional skills.

Requirements

Required Education:

• Must have a master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology, special education, social work, or counseling;
• or be a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed mental health counselor/therapist,
• or have a master’s degree in a human services field and be able to demonstrate to state behavior management committee that the applicant has coursework in.
