Job Description - Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Autism Center of Excellence is seeking Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support pediatric clients through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in Durham, North Carolina. We are hiring three (3) technicians with consistent availability Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Technicians provide one -on -one ABA therapy under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and support children in building communication, social, and daily living skills. Services may be provided in clinic, in -home, or community -based settings depending on client needs.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking a reliable daytime/afternoon schedule and meaningful, hands -on work in a supportive clinical environment.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday

  • 12:00 PM–6:00 PM

  • Consistent schedule required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to assigned clients

  • Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA

  • Collect and record accurate session data

  • Support skill acquisition and positive behavior change

  • Communicate professionally with caregivers and clinical team members

  • Follow all clinical, ethical, and confidentiality standards

This is a non -exempt, hourly position paid for all hours worked in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.



Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • RBT certification preferred; paid training provided for BTs

  • Experience working with children preferred (professional or personal)

  • Ability to maintain consistent availability for the required schedule

  • Reliable transportation

  • Strong communication skills and professionalism

  • Ability to work independently while following clinical guidance

  • Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and client -centered care
