Job Description - Behavioral Health Case Manager - IPS Specialist

The Behavioral Health Case Manager - Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Specialist performs a wide range of tasks to assist individuals to obtain and maintain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals. The specialist will work in office and in the community meeting with clients and businesses. The specialist works closely with the treatment team and may meet with family members of the individual being served. The employment specialist will possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS stakeholders.

Job Type/ Salary:

  • Full-time position

  • Annual Salary: $46,750 / $22.48

  • Position services all NCBH Outpatient sites. Home location may be dependent on applicant selected.

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

  • Application Period: 05/19/2025 - 05/31/2025

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a minimum of 36 (thirty-six) months of direct, documented experience working with persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorder and possess a High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or High School Equivalency (HSE) Credential; or

    The completion of 60 (sixty) college credit hours and a minimum of 12 (twelve) months of direct, documented experience working with persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorder; or

    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field from a regionally accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and have a minimum of six (6) months of direct, documented experience working with persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorder; or

    A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a behavioral health related field earned from a regionally accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE); or

    Have a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Oklahoma with documented experience in behavioral health care.

  • Preference may be given to individuals with experience working with people with severe mental illness, experience providing employment services, and knowledge of the work world.

  • Ability to work as an effective team member is essential

Special Requirements:  

  • Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background. 

  • Must possess a US driver’s license to perform job related travel if necessary.  

  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.  Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result. 

  • (if Required) Applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and be able to pull a maximum force of 25 pounds. 

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
