Job Description - Behavioral Health Specialist- Orange County

✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Behavioral Health Specialist at Southern California Treatment Program in Costa Mesa, CA ✨

Pay: Rate starting at $25.00 per hour

What you will do: You will be responsible for providing mental health rehabilitation and support services to our residents to ensure stability and successful transition back to the community. You will conduct treatment/skill building groups, individual rehab (skill building) services, support with educational/vocational and supplemental mental health linkage and referrals. You will participate in developing and supervising each resident’s individual treatment plan, including day-to-day monitoring, and coordinate services with social workers, probation officers, medical/mental health providers, and other institutions.


To be considered you must: Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect, along with a genuine desire to work with troubled teens. ~ Successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test. ~ Hold a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years. ~ Retain one of the following combinations: An Associate’s degree with six years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree with four years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with two years of related experience. Relevant experience includes working with youth in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.


Information regarding Schedule/hours/shifts:
Shifts: Monday – Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (two late days 10:00 am - 7:00 pm)
