Integrity Educational Services is currently seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to serve Lighthouse Academy Cedar Springs campus!
At our Lighthouse Academy locations, we offer residential programs serving youth and adults in detention facilities, correctional facilities or intervention-based programs as well as community programs serving long-term suspended, expelled, court-placed students, English Language Learners (ELL), students with Special Education needs, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assists and supports day to day instructional and behavioral interventions; provides positive redirection and support to students who exhibit inappropriate behavior in the classroom setting; goal is to move students to a less intensive behavior tier within a short period of time.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters in a school environment. The employee routinely uses standard office/classroom equipment such as computers, tablets, smartboards, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information. The employee is frequently required to walk, and move about within the school. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Other Qualifications: Must pass criminal history records search, physical and drug screen, if required.
Training: Must participate in and complete annual training, Professional Development, and various other training as deemed appropriate for position.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: LMSW, MSW, LLP, LPC, BCBA, or Residential experience preferred but not required.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google applications and/or willingness to learn needed computer skills specific to this position.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematic Skills: Ability to do simple computations, calculate percentages, and use a calculator.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students, parents, and other employees of the organization.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree Required and one to two years of experience within an educational or youth service program, preferably working with troubled youth in a residential setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Masters of Social Work (LMSW or MSW) degree preferred but not required.
