GENERAL SUMMARY:
Team Edgeworks strives to inspire and challenge youth athletes to compete in a fun and supportive environment. Under mentorship of USAC certified coaching staff, our athletes learn how to develop a healthy work ethic, to compete at the highest levels, and to be lifelong climbers.
The Head Coach & Team Manager is primarily responsible for mentoring Team Coaches and working as a team to coach Team Edgeworks athletes. The Head Coach & Team Manager also serves as a senior operational and strategic leader across all program locations, providing oversight beyond the responsibilities of individual location Head Coaches.
This role is responsible for coordinating administrative support for Team practices, memberships, and other events across all locations, ensuring consistency, readiness, and successful execution. The Head Coach & Team Manager leads cross-location collaboration by attending internal and external practices during the 16-week preparation period leading up to Nationals, aligning athletes, coaches, and resources to maximize performance. As such, this position requires occasional travel to Seattle, Tacoma, Bel Red, and/or other off-site practice locations to provide leadership, maintain program standards, and support seamless operations for athletes qualified at the Regional, Divisional, and National level.
Reporting to the Director of Routesetting & Team, the Head Coach & Team Manager partners with the Operations Manager to guarantee an outstanding experience for the climbing team and achieve optimal results at competitions.
