Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to inspect, clean, polish, and repair jewelry and watches to ensure the highest quality before sale. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity and appearance of our pieces while contributing to a safe, efficient, and organized workshop environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities and Duties

• Polish, clean, and rhodium-plate jewelry
• Remove gemstones and diamonds from settings with care and precision
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance to ensure items are ready for sale
• Size rings, set and tighten stones, retip prongs, reshave channels, reshave/rebuild shanks, and perform laser repairs and soldering
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop
• Manage shop supplies and inventory
• Ensure a safe and efficient work environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bench jeweler or completion of a relevant apprenticeship
• Proficiency in basic to intermediate jewelry repair techniques
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures in a jewelry workshop
• Understands the importance of shop safety
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site
