Bending Machine Operator

Description

• Ability to setup and run CNC rotary tube bending machines such as Horn, Soco, Eagle or Addison with limited supervision.
• Set-up and operate CNC rotary draw bending machine while conforming to manufacturing tolerances
• Set-up and switch tooling of CNC rotary draw bending machine (Bend Di, Clamp Di, Wiper Di, Pressure Di, Mandrel, Collette, Stop Blocks)
• Program new post bends into CNC bending machine
• Ensure all tube assemblies meet strict quality and compliance standards
• Checking drawings to work orders to ensure correct quantity of posts are bent and put out for job
• Can work effectively with cross-functional departments as need
• Conduct quality inspections using appropriate quality measurement tools (calipers, taps, angles)
• Maintenance of tooling and equipment

Requirements

• Experience in Set-Up and Operate CNC Rotary Tube bending 
• Experience working with Stainless Steel Tubes (thin-walled and thick-walled tubing)
• Well versed in manufacturing of complex tube assemblies
• Experience with 3D tube bends
• Proficient in basic math including decimals, fractions and metric system 
• Proficient in English to communicate with fellow employees and follow work instructions
• Ability to use the required hand tools, power tools, and cutting machines in the assembly process
• Can effectively use measuring instruments such as a tape measure
• Ability to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy
• Ability to work in high pressure situations under deadlines
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Production Technician (NCMIT graduate) preferred
• Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm (Mandatory Overtime on Fridays or later hours)
