Job Overview:
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a qualified Beneficiary Services Representative (PEBLO) to support service members undergoing disability evaluation at Patrick Space Force Base. This position provides direct liaison support to active-duty personnel navigating the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES). The PEBLO helps manage medical board cases, ensures proper documentation is collected and submitted, and guides service members through evaluations, appeals, and final outcomes. The role includes coordination with healthcare professionals, commanders, and families, and participation in ongoing training and policy updates.
General Duties:
- Perform duties aligned with DHA standards for PEBLO support.
- Operate within the guidelines of the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and established DoD regulations.
Specific Duties:
- Guide service members through the IDES/MEB/PEB process from start to finish.
- Coordinate medical documentation and disability case management.
- Schedule and track medical evaluation appointments.
- Provide counseling on benefits, legal rights, and appeal processes.
- Liaise with healthcare staff, military commanders, and veterans' services.
- Maintain confidential records in line with HIPAA and DoD policies.
- Update and track case progress using systems like VTA (Veteran Tracking Application).
- Prepare statistical reports and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Degree:
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Health Care Organizations.
Education:
Accredited college or university.
Experience (one of the following must apply):
- 2 years of PEBLO experience in the DoD system (within past 6 years), OR
- 5 years of experience in civilian disability evaluation programs, OR
- 2 years of experience as a VA Medical Service Coordinator (MSC).
Skills:
- Knowledge of military healthcare and DES regulations.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
- Proficiency in data tracking and case management tools.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch).
- No weekends, no holidays, no on-call, no overtime.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily sedentary (desk work), prolonged sitting required.
Immunization Requirement:
- Must be vaccinated for seasonal flu and any additional CDC-recommended healthcare worker vaccines.
- Must hold current BLS/CPR certification (must be acquired prior to starting; government does not pay for training).
Security Requirement:
- Must complete an SF-85 background check.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Fingerprinting required before start date.
