Beverage Industry - Refrigeration Technician

The Refrigeration Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient operation. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, recommends system improvements, and maintains required certifications and facility permits. The technician will also assist with employee training as needed and communicate effectively with facility management, vendors, and team members. Proficiency in diagnostic equipment and the safe use of hand and power tools is required.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, and beverage equipment per blueprints and schematics

  
  


• 
  

  Perform routine and preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems

  
  


• 
  

  Diagnose equipment failures and replace or repair components

  
  


• 
  

  Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and work orders

  
  


• 
  

  Enter and manage work order data electronically

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain spare parts inventory and submit replenishment requests

  
  


• 
  

  Perform general facility maintenance (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or welding as needed)

  
  


• 
  

  Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

  
  

Required Qualifications

• 
  

  High School Diploma or GED

  
  


• 
  

  Industrial Maintenance or HVAC Certification (Commercial Refrigeration required)

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance

  
  


• 
  

  Strong electrical knowledge (AC/DC troubleshooting)

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks

  
  


• 
  

  Forklift certification or ability to pass on-site testing

  
  


• 
  

  Strong written and verbal communication skills (Spanish bilingual a plus)
