Beverage Manager

About Us:
We are a new high-energy, high-volume restaurant opening soon in Montclair, NJ. We’re building an incredible team and looking for a Head Bartender to lead all aspects of our beverage program and bar operations.

Position Overview:
As Head Bartender, you’ll oversee bar operations, staff leadership, vendor relations, beverage programming, and financial management. You’ll have the opportunity to build a dynamic, guest-driven bar experience from the ground up.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of high-volume bartending experience


• 5+ years of bar management experience


• Strong experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships


• Expertise in beverage programming: cocktail menus, seasonal events, special features


• Full understanding of P&L management, financial targets, and budget accountability


• Mastery of inventory control, ordering systems, and cost containment


• Ability to lead, train, and inspire a high-performing bar team


• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences at scale

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute creative, profitable beverage menus


• Oversee all daily bar operations, ensuring consistency and quality


• Recruit, train, and manage the opening bar team


• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors


• Manage beverage costs, inventory systems, and financial reporting


• Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal alcohol regulations


• Lead beverage promotions and marketing activations in partnership with leadership

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
