Lab Technician - Product Development Support

Pay: $22/hour
Shift: Day Shift | Flexible Start Between 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM (8-hour shift)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our Product Development team. This role is responsible for batching formulas, preparing prototypes, conducting analytical testing, and assisting scientists in delivering high-quality samples that meet customer requirements.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with laboratory or food/beverage production experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Batch formulas and prepare prototypes with minor modifications as directed
• Perform analytical testing (pH, Brix, TA, spectrophotometer, etc.)
• Conduct basic instrument calibration and maintain accurate records
• Scale formulas using ratio, percentage, and fraction conversions
• Screen flavors and colors and adjust formulas accordingly
• Support stability testing and sensory evaluations under supervision
• Enter and retrieve data using internal systems (AS400, LEAD, etc.)
• Generate data for demo sheets and shipment documentation
• Follow ISO procedures and maintain a safe, organized lab environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher required
• 1-3 years of laboratory, food manufacturing, QA, or product development experience preferred
• Strong basic math skills (ratios, percentages, scaling, conversions)
• Familiarity with basic scientific terminology and concepts
• Experience with lab instruments such as pH meters, Brix meters, and spectrophotometers
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
