Bike Rental Attendant

Description

This position is responsible for the assisting guests with bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas, and other rental items at Hilton Head Outfitters. You will contribute to the success of the Resort by providing outstanding customer service to all guests we encounter. By supporting our company's Noble Purpose, your top priority will be to care about our guests, and the impact you make on their lives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• You will help live out our company's Noble Purpose by providing outstanding customer service to all guests.
• When interacting with each guest, leave them with a "WOW" story to tell about their experience.
• Share customer impact stories with your team in meetings and with management.
• Greet all guests in the bike lot with a friendly and welcoming smile.
• Assist guests with questions about rentals products, services and resort and island activities.
• Process bike reservations and returns.
• Ensure all various bicycles and rental products are full functioning when handed to guests.
• Assist guests with proper bike sizing, basic installation, and repairs.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading of bikes, beach chairs, and other rental items for delivery
• Assist with the set up and break down of bike shop at the beginning and end of the day
• Keep bike lot and surrounding areas clean of trash and other unsightly items
• Keep any tools in bike lot and surrounding areas tidy and in working conditions
• Check bike and other rentals that are returned for safety issues.
• Inform guests of bike safety for Hilton Head Island
• Communicate with bike shop and warehouse teams as needed.
• Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule.
• Maintains a professional appearance.
• Remains alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests always
• Complete all scheduled work in a timely fashion.
• Assist in the daily operations of the bike lot.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by Managers.

Requirements

• Must be available on Weekends and Holidays
• No experience necessary - we will train on everything you need to know.
• Desire to learn about bikes and maintain bikes.
• Able to work in an outdoor, fun, fast paced, drama free environment.
